Why I support Free Arts: “I use art to experience joy, distraction, freedom, and for the simple fun and satisfaction of creating something. I support Free Arts because I think it is important for kids to have this same opportunity and access to art, especially at a time when their environment and life is particularly challenging. The judges and lawyers from the Children’s courthouse will tell you that Free Arts has an immediate impact on these kids; Free Arts participants are much more at ease when called to speak in the courtroom. Free Arts mentors/volunteers provide encouragement and a dedication and stability in the kids' lives which will have lasting effects.”

Why I support Free Arts: "I support and am a Board Member of Free Arts because there is such an overwhelming need to heal the spirits of children experiencing abuse in their homes.  Art is a means to express emotion in a safe and calm way that children often aren't able or want to express through words.  Through art, children are empowered to make choices such as colors to open their communication and begin their journey from trauma to triumph."

Scherzer International, Executive Vice PResident

Why I support Free Arts: “I was thrilled to join the board of Free Arts because I believe in the power of art to transform. Free Arts provides a crucial service to children in the most need by going directly to them at the court and in their neighborhoods. Through creative expression the children of Free Arts rediscover their voices and build resiliency to go forward.”

Why I support Free Arts: “Because Free Arts brings impactful arts programs to kids living through challenging circumstances. As a long standing volunteer in the mentor program, I experienced first-hand how Free Arts connects kids with their inner strength, expands their horizons, and otherwise empowers them. Organizations with a mission such as Free Arts are essential to the growth of vibrant and resilient children, which will have a positive impact on our communities for years to come.”
